Hello! I’m Joseph, an incoming freshman at the University of Chicago planning to major in either economics or public policy. My passion is debate. It can be about anything: politics, business, philosophy, literature…anything that can be argued with logic, facts, and analysis. To me, debate is not about arguing to prove a point. Rather, it is a conversation, an interaction of different ideas and perspectives. That is the point of view I choose to take as I make my way through college: debating, or sharing ideas, to expand our knowledge and question the world around us.
